Official website for the European Youth Day released

The temporary EYD-Webpage

The official website for the European Youth Day went on-line on 21 May 2007, exactly two years before the mega event is to take place. All those who are interested can inform themselves of the date, programme, news and organisational information.
The layout of the website is based on designs made by a group of young people from various German district churches. As in other areas as well, young people hereby shape the mega event significantly. "We want to involve as many young people as possible from all the participating countries in the preparation," says apostle Rüdiger Krause (Northern Germany), who leads the project team communication. All of the nine project teams of the European Youth Day planning committee pass their information on to the project team communication, which releases all the information.

The official logo of the European Youth Day was chosen from various suggested designs by the EYD planning committee at the end of March. The project team communication began their work after chief apostle Wilhelm Leber and the European district apostles had agreed. The layout and the basic content of the official website were created in a few weeks.
